Consumer Health Data Notice

Daily Magic is a wellness planner with a caring AI companion, the Fairy Godmother. It is not a health-care provider: we don't diagnose, treat or give medical advice. Some things you choose to share with Daily Magic may say something about your health or wellbeing. Washington's My Health My Data Act, and similar laws in other states, call this "consumer health data". This notice says what we hold, why, and what you can do. It adds to our Privacy Policy.

What we may hold, and why

  • Mood check-ins and energy notes you choose to log, so you can see them and plan your day.
  • Comfort settings you turn on (for example "Calmer pace" or "Shorter replies"), so the app works the way you asked.
  • Things you write: your journal, your chats with the Fairy Godmother, and your tasks and goals may include health details if you include them. We use them to give you the features you asked for, like a reply from the Fairy Godmother.
  • Safety signals: when a message suggests you may be in danger, our safety checks note how worried we are, so we can show crisis help, like 988, straight away.

We use this information only to give you the features you choose and to keep you safe. We never use it for advertising, and we never sell it.

Where it comes from

From you, when you use Daily Magic, and from our own safety checks on your messages. We don't buy it, and we don't get it from data brokers or advertisers.

What we share, and with whom

  • AI service providers that write the Fairy Godmother's replies: they receive your messages and the context needed to answer. Your journal is sent only if you turn on "Let the Fairy Godmother read my journal to help me".
  • Hosting, database and security providers that store and protect your account.
  • Email delivery providers that send the emails you need.
  • Law enforcement, and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, only when the law requires it.

We share only what is needed to run the features you use, and only with service providers who work for us under contract:

Affiliates

Daily Magic LLC has no affiliates that receive your consumer health data.

Your rights, and how to use them

  • See whether we hold or share your consumer health data, and get a copy.
  • Change your mind: turn off any feature or setting in Settings at any time.
  • Delete it, or your whole Storybook.
  • If we say no to a request, ask us to look again.

Everything is self-serve: sign in and open the Privacy Rights Center (dailymagic.ai/privacy-rights). Every request is finished within 14 days. We will never treat you differently for using your rights.
